I-55 Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Traffic Starting At Weber: ISP
State Police said a crash involving a semi-truck is blocking the center lane of Interstate 55 at Lemont Road with traffic at Weber Road.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Wednesday morning crash on Interstate 55 is causing traffic jams beginning in Romeoville, Illinois State Police said.
According to officials, a tractor-trailer was involved in a crash at around 7:45 a.m. on I-55 and Lemont Road. The crash occurred on northbound lanes and was blocking the center lane as crews worked to clear the roadway.
The trailer was moved out of the way by around 8:20, ISP said, but traffic remains heavy beginning at I-55 and Weber Road.
