Valley View Wrestlers Head To State Finals

WILL COUNTY, IL — Several Valley View School District students will represent the District at wrestling state championships this weekend, the District shared in a news release.

Bolingbrook High School senior Tommy McDermott will compete in the IHSA Class 3A Boys Wrestling Individual State Championship, held Feb. 20-22 at the State Farm Center at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Tommy will compete in the 165-pound weight class, the District said.

Three students will also head to the IHSA Girls Wrestling Championships on Feb. 28-March 1 at Grossinger Arena in Bloomington, the District said.

Romeoville High School is sending junior Daniela Santander and sophomore Henessis Villagrana to the state finals; and Bolingbrook High School junior Alejandra Flores will compete as well. Daniela is in the 100-pound class, Henessis will compete in the 235-pound class, and Alejandra will compete in the 115-pound class, the District said.
