Strange Traffic Fatality In Shorewood Takes Crest Hill Man's Life
Shorewood Deputy Police Chief Eric Allen told Patch that the investigation is still ongoing.

SHOREWOOD, IL —Last week's traffic fatality on a less traveled road in Shorewood is still under investigation as the Shorewood Police Department works to determine whether a medical condition prompted 55-year-old Crest Hill resident James Siemers to crash into a parked semi-trailer.
The wreck happened around 6:40 a.m. last Thursday, Oct. 27 along Earl Road, which is near the Shorewood Police Station. Siemers was on his way to work when his sedan veered to the shoulder, crashing into a semi that was parked along Earl Road.
Deputy Chief of Police Eric Allen told Patch that the semi-driver was asleep in his cab when the wreck occurred as Siemers was driving his sedan southbound along Earl Road after turning off of U.S. 52. Earl Road has several light industrial businesses along the thoroughfare.
