4 People Injured By 2-Car Traffic Crash In Skokie
The high-speed crash reportedly pushed one of the cars into the lawn of a nearby home.

SKOKIE, IL — A traffic crash reportedly injured four people Thursday night in Skokie.
Skokie fire officials said the crash occurred around 11 p.m. in the 8400 block of Monticello Avenue.
Police said a driver headed north on Monticello Avenue ran a stop sign and struck a car headed east on Lee Street.

That driver and two passengers, and the driver of the car that was struck, were all taken to area hospitals for injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening injuries, according to Sgt. Brandi Shelton.
One car came to a stop on the lawn of a nearby home, and one of the occupants needed to be extricated from one of the cars, WLS reported.

No updates about their condition were available Friday morning.
Nicholas Eschner, the deputy chief of the Skokie Fire Department, told Skokie Patch there were no details available regarding the number of people injured, the number of cars involved, the number of occupants of those cars or the number of people taken to the hospital.
The driver headed north on Monticello was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign, police said.
