Checks Stolen From Car And Cashed

An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction. 

Someone removed checks from the trunk of a vehicle parked in the 8200 block of Keating, and later cashed three of the checks at different locations. It happened between 4:30 p.m. May 20 and 4:30 p.m. May 21.  

Criminal Damage to Property

An offender used black spray paint to draw graffiti on a dumpster on the 8500 block of Niles Center Rd., between May 29th at 6:00 p.m. and June 5th at 6:00 p.m.

Theft

A representative of Macy's Department Store, 4909 Old Orchard Rd., reported on June 5 that a store employee removed cash from a register. Loss Prevention apprehended the employee.

Possession of Cannabis

Possession of Cannabis on the 8400 block of Lotus Ave., at 6:15 p.m. Reported: 06/05/13.

During a call regarding a suspicious vehicle on the 8400 block of Lotus Ave., officers observed a vehicle which had the odor of cannabis coming from it. They arrested the driver.

Arrests

Jeremy Adams-Collins of Chicago Heights, 23, was charged with Possession Of Cannabis 30gm And Under, on the 8400 block of Lotus Ave.

Juan Matinez-Zarate, 42, was charged with Retail Theft at Macy's Department Store, 4909 Old Orchard Rd.
