Fire Occurs in 7400 Block of Kostner and Kenneth Friday Evening

A building at 7449 Kostner, Skokie, caught on fire just after 6:30 p.m., according to the Community Incident Notification Service.

A first notice at 6:35 p.m. reported it as an outside gas-fed fire.

About seven minutes later, a bulletin said there was a fire in a house at 7455 Kenneth, a block to the west. By 7:01, a three-ambulance response had dispatched to the scene. 

At 7:25 p.m., two firefighters were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
