Man Robbed of $600 At Old Orchard Mall In Skokie
Also, some residences were broken into. An arrest is merely an accusation and does not indicate a conviction.

Residential Burglary
- Residential Burglary on the 9500 block of Avers Avenue, on August 31st between 12:30 a.m. and 3:10 a.m. Reported Aug. 31. An unknown person(s) entered the unlocked rear door and rifled through a purse. A bicycle was reported stolen from the garage.
- Residential Burglary on the 8000 block of Kenneth Avenue, between August 25th at 9:00 p.m. and August 28th at 4:00 p.m. Reported Aug. 31. An unknown person(s) entered the unlocked shed and stole a black and grey mountain bicycle.
- Residential Burglary on the 6800 block of Laramie Avenue, on August 31st between 3:00 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. Reported Aug. 31. An unknown person(s) forced open the door and ransacked the home. Electronics and currency were reported stolen.
- Residential Burglary on the 9100 block of Keating Avenue, on August 31st at 8:52 p.m. Reported Aug. 31. An unknown person(s) entered the basement of the apartment building and removed a black Hyper bicycle. The offender was described as a male black wearing a multicolored “Roca Wear” t-shirt and jean shorts.
Robbery
- Robbery on the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center, on August 30th at 5:18 p.m. Reported Aug. 30. The victim reported that he was approached by an unknown person near the Nordstrom store in Westfield Old Orchard Mall, and the person asked him for change for a $50 bill. The victim said he went to his vehicle to get his money and returned with $600 in cash. When he went to give the suspect his change for a $50 bill, the suspect grabbed all of his money and took off running eastbound. The subject is described as a male black, approximately 50 years old, 6’0”, 190-200 lbs, with long black hair, muscular build, wearing a white and blue button up shirt.
