• Skokie's Winter Market On Main Expanding In 2026 (patch.com) — Skokie residents can look forward to an expanded Winter Market on Main in early 2026, now spread across Soul Good Coffee and The Storefront on Main Street. With more than 40 vendors, live music, family activities, and Link card matching up to $25 at the Skokie Farmers’ Market tent, the Sunday market series aims to be a lively neighborhood gathering spot.
   

• Skokie Reports Third Straight Year With No Murders: 2025 Crime Stats (patch.com) — Skokie saw overall crime fall 3 percent in 2025 and recorded its third straight year without a murder, according to new Illinois State Police data. While crimes against persons rose, property crimes dropped more than 8 percent and overall rates compared favorably with Cook County, Chicago, and statewide trends, giving residents a clearer picture of local safety heading into 2026.
