Spirit Halloween Stores Open For 2022 Around Niles Township

NILES TOWNSHIP, IL — It’s September, and with fall unofficially underway, the Halloween season has arrived. And for all your spooky shopping needs, more than 1,400 seasonal Spirit Halloween stores have opened nationwide, including one next to the Niles Walmart.

Spirit sells Halloween décor, plus costumes and accessories for children, teens and adults. The Niles location is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays at 5630 Touhy Ave.

Other Spirit Halloween stores in the north and northwest suburbs include:

• 330 E. Rand Road, Arlington Heights
• 151 Skokie Valley Road, Highland Park
• 151 E. Euclid Ave., Mount Prospect
• 7100 W. Forest Preserve Drive, Norridge
• 700 N. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills

Customers who do their shopping online can filter costumes by category including TV shows, movies, decades, clowns — and more specifically, “scary clowns” — and more. Filters are also available by size, price or rating.

There’s nearly eight weeks until Halloween, but Spirit already has popular costumes, including characters from “Stranger Things,” “Top Gun,” “Encanto” and more.

Shoppers can also buy props, makeup, accessories and more. Spirit Halloween, the largest Halloween retailer in North America, operates more than 1,400 stores in the United States.
