29-Year-Old Man Killed While Walking on South Side Sidewalk
A young man was shot and killed while walking on a South Shore sidewalk late last week.

Police say a series of a dozen Chicago shootings during a 12-hour period late last week included a victim who was killed on the South Side.
The 29-year-old man was shot in the South Shore neighborhood on Thursday around 9:15 p.m., according to a Chicago Tribune report. He was walking on the sidewalk in the 6700 block of South Chappel Avenue when the assailant approached him fired a bullet into his chest.
He was later pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
