78-Year-Old Man Shot To Death In Garfield Ridge Home

The man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest, Chicago police say.

CHICAGO — Chicago police are investigating after a man was found shot dead in his Garfield Ridge home Tuesday evening.

Around 8 p.m., a man was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest inside his home on the 4500 block of South Lamon Street. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the man as Marvin Cook, 78,
