Dog Fatally Shot By Chicago Cop During South Side Call
A 26-year-old Monee man was arrested in Sunday's incident in the West Englewood neighborhood.

CHICAGO, IL — A Chicago police officer fatally shot a dog Sunday night during a call concerning a man with a gun on the South Side, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Issac J. Kelly, 24, of Monee, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon in the incident, the report stated. His bail hearing is Monday.
The shooting happened after police received a report of someone with a firearm in the 6600 block of South Paulina Street, the report stated. An officer shot the dog at the scene, but police did not give details why that response was needed.
