1 Dead In House Fire Near St. Charles

KANE COUNTY, IL — One person was killed Ian a house fire at 39W545 Hemlock Drive in unincorporated St. Charles Thursday night.

ABC 7 is reporting the home was fully engulfed in flames by the time fire crews arrived at the scene at about 8 p.m., and neighbors alerted firefighters to a possible person possibly still inside the residence. The person was found in the back of the home, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
