Patch: Tell us a bit about your business or organization:
Katie Cummings: We are a women's clothing and shoe store that offers an ageless shopping adventure. JAYNE Geneva Commons is our 6th location in Chicagoland.

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Katie Cummings: We opened JAYNE Geneva Commons in late November 2025, but JAYNE has been in business in Chicagoland since 2013.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Katie Cummings: I've always loved fashion and working with people. When I was a kid I just wanted to "work at a store where I could wrap purchases in tissue paper!" Theres nothing better than neatly packing a sale and handing it to a happy customer after you've worked with them.

Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Katie Cummings: Wear what you feel comfortable in, there are less rules and fashion faux pas than you think!

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Katie Cummings: Working through the full cycle of the business. From product purchase at a trade show, to arrival in our store. Receiving, marketing, merchandising and training staff and finally seeing it go home with a happy customer!

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Katie Cummings: Our footwear selection is truly one of a kind in the area. We carry a wide range of brands, styles and price points. We really feel that mom, grandma and granddaughter can all find something at JAYNE!
