3,600 Kane Co. Residents Without Power Tuesday Morning: ComEd
There were nearly 200 power outages across the county during the Monday afternoon storm, according to the company.
KANE COUNTY, IL — Thousands of Commonwealth Edison customers in Kane County remain without power Tuesday morning, nearly 18 hours after a strong storm that threatened to create tornadoes ripped through the area.
As of 5 p.m. Monday, more than 6,300 ComEd customers in the county did not have electricity. That number sits at 3,676 customers, as of 8:56 a.m. Tuesday.
More than 1,100 ComEd customers in Carpentersville still did not have electricity as of Tuesday morning, as well as 710 in St. Charles and St. Charles Township; nearly 600 in Elgin and Elgin Township; 412 in Campton Hills and Campton Township; 161 in Algonquin and Algonquin Township; 135 in East Dundee; 122 in North Aurora; 105 in Aurora and Aurora Township; and 59 in Dundee Township, according to ComEd.

Power was restored by 9 a.m. Tuesday to all ComEd customers in Batavia and Geneva, ComEd's outage map shows.
