Cops Release Photo Of Car In Hit-And-Run That Injured 72-Year-Old
A 72-year-old motorcyclist is in serious condition after a hit-and-run crash Monday. Police have released traffic footage of the wanted car.

ST. CHARLES, IL — A 72-year-old is in serious condition after a hit-and-run crash Monday evening, according to the Kane County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities released an image Tuesday of the SUV they believe was involved in the crash. The vehicle is a red or maroon Jeep Cherokee with front-side damage, officials said.
Officers responded to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Route 25 and Gilbert Street at around 4:15 p.m. Monday, according to a news release. Police said an initial investigation revealed a Harley-Davidson 3-wheel motorcycle was traveling north on Route 25 when it stopped at a red light on Gilbert Street. An SUV struck the motorcycle from behind at a "high rate of speed" and then drove away, according to police.

Police said the motorcycle driver was a 72-year-old St. Charles resident who was taken to an Elgin hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police did not release their name.
Police are asking the public for help in identifying the vehicle. Anyone with information can call Detective Minuth at 630-208-2034.
