Coronavirus In St. Charles: 'Stronger Together' Program Launched
The chamber's program encourages the community to buy meals for first responders from local restaurants, and to support non-profits.
ST. CHARLES, IL — St. Charles Chamber of Commerce has launched a program — Stronger Together: How to Help Our Community — aimed at directly helping first responders, restaurants and nonprofits during the coronavirus pandemic. According to a news release and Facebook post from the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, community members are encouraged to support first responders by purchasing meals for them from a local restaurant, as the chamber added that local restaurants are ready for your donations.
"We are so grateful for our Medical professionals, police, and firemen, for continuing to work and persevere through this crisis," the chamber wrote.
The chamber website provides links for community members to coordinate meal and time requests in advance, including a list of local restaurants.

"This is an easy way to support our first responders while staying at home, and a great way to support local restaurants," according to a statement from the chamber.

In addition, the chamber also encourages community members to continue supporting local non-profit members as they look to serve those in need across the area.
