ST. CHARLES, IL — Earlier this week, Walgreens announced it was instituting a four-item purchase limit on at-home COVID-19 testing products in its stores and online. The decision was based on a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases and increased demand, according to the Deerfield-based company.

CVS followed suit with its own policy, allowing customers to purchase five at-home COVID-19 tests.

As of Thursday, the Walgreen’s location at 2751 East Main St. was completely sold out but was expecting more to arrive Thursday afternoon, a Walgreen's employee told Patch.
