Darryl Strawberry To Headline Services At St. Charles Church
The former MLB All-Star is set to speak this weekend about his successful career and his issues off the field.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Darryl Strawberry, an eight-time Major League Baseball All-Star, is set to share stories about his successful career and off-field issues this weekend in St. Charles.
Christ Community Church, located at 37W100 Bolcum Road, will host the former right fielder for discussions at 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.

The interviews with will also be broadcast at Christ Community Church services in Aurora, DeKalb and Streamwood, according to a news release.
Strawberry is expected to speak about his professional achievements and personal struggles, including addiction, abuse, divorce, cancer and jail time.

"I have a heart for people, especially those who are faced with conditions, situations or battles in their lives that often bring a deep sense of hopelessness to the soul," Strawberry said in a news release.
The interviews with Strawberry will also be broadcast at Christ Community Church services in Aurora, DeKalb and Streamwood, according to the release.
Both discussions have reached their capacity, but they can be viewed online at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday.
