FBI Releases More Details On St. Charles Bank Robbery; Robber Still 'At Large'

The robber is described as being a black man in his 40s. He held up the U.S. Bank on Smith Road on Saturday afternoon, police said.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Federal agents are still searching for a man accused of robbing a bank in St. Charles last week.

On Thursday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released more information regarding the heist, which happened at about 12:05 p.m. on Saturday at the U.S. Bank at 135 Smith Road in St. Charles, according to a news release from the FBI.

Wearing a dark, medical face mask and a "Chicago Bears" hat, the armed robber entered the U.S. Bank, showed a handgun and demanded money, according to authorities. He also had on a camouflage hoodie, dark sunglasses and a dark cross-body bag, and is described as being a black man in his 40s who is about 6 feet tall.

The man fled on foot and is still at large, police said.
