Food Drive To Stock Salvation Army Tri-City Pantry Amid Pandemic
The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps has already served more people this year than it did in 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

ST. CHARLES, IL — The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps is asking for donations from residents throughout the region to restock its food pantry as it works to support people who need help amid the coronavirus pandemic. In the first seven months of the year, the regional corps served more people than it did in 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a news release.

The Tri-City Corps is set to host a food drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Community Center, located at 1710 S. Seventh Ave. in St. Charles. Volunteers will set up a table in the parking lot for donations, the release states.

Requested items:
diapers/pull-ups (especially sizes 5 and 6); baby wipes; shampoo/conditioner; toothpaste; deodorant; soap; maxi pads and tampons; adult Depend products; laundry soap; dish soap; paper towels and facial tissues; canned ravioli and SpaghettiO's; canned fruit; canned tuna or chicken; canned beans or vegetables; condiments (mustard, mayo, ketchup, etc.); jelly; peanut butter; pancake mix; syrup; cereal; baking staples (flour, sugar, etc.); coffee and tea; pasta and pasta sauce; macaroni and cheese; stuffing and instant mashed potatoes; and brown paper grocery bags
