Jazz, Art To Take Center Stage In St. Charles This Weekend
Organizers combined this year's jazz and art festivals due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Fine Art Show and Jazz Weekend starts Thursday.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Artists and musicians will come together in St. Charles this weekend for the city’s first-ever Fine Art Show and Jazz Weekend.
The St. Charles Business Alliance postponed its annual Fine Art Show from May to September due to the coronavirus pandemic, creating a unique opportunity for the organization to showcase fine art during its popular Jazz Weekend event.

The first — and potentially only — St. Charles Fine Art Show and Jazz Weekend is scheduled to start Thursday night with four performances at local restaurants. More than two dozen musicians are set to perform at 14 venues throughout the weekend.
Most performances will be held outside, as venues are limited to no more than 50 people under guidelines set by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

The Fox Valley Jazz Big Band is scheduled to play a drive-in concert from 7-8:30 p.m. in James O. Breen Community Park. Drive-in concert tickets cost $5.
Kane County Candidates To Outline Platforms During Forums
The St. Charles Business Alliance is hosting an art reception Saturday evening at 116 Gallery & Mixology. Cod City Jazz Combo is scheduled to play from 4-7 p.m., with featured artists displaying their work in the gallery from 4-8 p.m.
Artwork will be on display throughout the weekend at 31 locations in St. Charles, according to the event map.
