Maple Park Police Advise All To 'Lock It' Amid Car Break-Ins
A reminder from the Maple Park Police Department, shared by the sheriff's office.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Sheriff's Office shared a report Tuesday from the Maple Park Police Department who are asking for the public's help after a string of car break-ins in the Maple Park Community. According to the police department, all the cars broken into were left unlocked, and Maple Park Police Department Chief is reminding residents that "If you like it, lock it."
The police department said it's actively investigating each break-in incident, and asks anyone with surveillance camera systems to check for footage of possible offenders.
Police also ask anyone who notices anything suspicious to notify MPPD at 815-827-3286.
