Native plant sale, drone demo and more!

Great events happening at Kane DuPage Soil & Water Conservation District

It’s busy season at the Kane DuPage Soil and Water Conservation District (KDSWCD)! Field days, workshops, plus native trees, shrubs and plants for sale, all the while developing our 5-year strategic plan.

On August 12, join KDSWCD, American Farmland Trust and University of Illinois Extension for cover crop demo plots, expert talks and a drone seeding flight at the U of I Extension Idea Garden. After the field visit, we will meet at the Kane County Farm Bureau for lunch, producer panel discussion and a RAFFLE ~ win a fall 2025 drone cover crop seeding on a Kane or DuPage County field of the winner's choice (some restrictions apply)!

AgFly will present the demo flight, fulfill the raffle prize winner's drone seeding and will be serving NE Illinois farmers' drone application needs starting this fall. This event is made possible by a generous contribution from American Farmland Trust with raffle prize donated by KDSWCD.
