Drawing on her clinical experience, Silva emphasizes evidence-based outcomes to address factors such as Adverse Childhood Experiences, which significantly impact mental health. This approach supports early intervention and strategic resource allocation to organizations best equipped to assist.
“Awareness is critical,” Silva said. “My relationships with board members and my willingness to
collaborate with elected officials enable informed decision-making and effective policy implementation. The coroner’s office must also actively engage with the public by attending community events and supporting high-risk populations.”
Silva’s qualifications include clinical training in anatomy, pathology, and decision-making, as well as leadership and teamwork expertise. She values building strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public, skills she believes will contribute to her success in the role.
