Eggers brief court appearance Friday came nearly two weeks after vehicles were damaged by a BB gun or air rifle on the 1200 block of Lencioni Court, Geneva, the Daily Herald reported. The news report said that according to an affidavit used to obtain a search warrant on Oct. 15 for Eggers' car and phone, police saw the man walking to a car near his address, and stopped him.

According to the affidavit, police told Eggers to drop an opened box he was carrying, containing what Eggers told officers was a "Molotov cocktail," or butane can device he was going to deliver to a Geneva home. Eggers told police he was angry about a drug deal and only wanted to frighten people at the home.
