Pedestrian Hit by SUV on Route 31 Last Week Remains in Critical Condition
A 53-year-old man who was hit by a vehicle on June 23 in St. Charles Township remained in the hospital this week.

ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP, IL – A hospitalized 53-year-old man who was hit by a car on Route 31 last week has reportedly been listed in critical but stable condition.
The injured pedestrian, Thomas M. Aucoin, of Charlotte, N.C., remained at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove on Monday morning, according to a Kane County Chronicle report.
He was struck shortly after 9:30 a.m. on June 23 by an 80-year-old man who was driving a 2007 Ford Freestyle northbound on Route 31 near Silver Glen Road in St. Charles Township. Aucoin was reportedly standing on the east side of the roadway at the time of the incident.
