Pheasant Run Demolition Contract Approved

The former Pheasant Run Resort can now be demolished at any time following the Monday court ruling.

ST. CHARLES, IL — A DuPage County judge has approved a contractor who will be in charge of demolishing the former Pheasant Run Resort and also has OK'd the $2.43 million price tag attached to the demo process.

On Monday, DuPage County Judge Bonnie Wheaton ruled in favor of Great Lakes Property Services LLC's choice to hire Green Demolition Contractors Inc. to demolish the buildings at the former resort, 4051 E. Main St. in St. Charles, according to the Daily Herald. Great Lakes was approved by the city of St. Charles and DuPage County Circuit Court to serve as the receiver for the property.

Wheaton also approved the demolition costs — $2.27 million — as well as the cost for insurance, asbestos removal and an engineering consultant. In total, the demolition will cost $2.43 million.
