St. Charles Man Dies After Being Hit By Car

A 28-year-old St. Charles woman was driving when she hit the man, authorities said.

ST. CHARLES, IL — A St. Charles man who was hit by a car Tuesday night has died, according to the Kane County Sheriff's Office. David Busby, 40, passed away Thursday, Sheriff Pat Gengler confirmed to Patch. Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Amber Blaskoski, 28, also from St. Charles, was driving west on Courtier Avenue near the intersection with Sycamore Avenue when she hit Busby.

Busby was airlifted to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries before he died.

Blaskoski was uninjured, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said the investigation is still ongoing, and as of Tuesday authorities hadn't issued any tickets.
