ST. CHARLES, IL — A Kane County jury found a St. Charles woman guilty of felony aggravated battery Tuesday for punching a man in her care back in April 2018 while she was working as certified nursing assistant at a St. Charles long-term care center. Kane County Assistant State’s Attorneys Sarah Seberger and Christopher McCall presented evidence showing that 41-year-old Kristin M. Mullis, of the 1600 block of Indiana Street, punched the patient when he became agitated while being moved back to his bed after a shower on April 11, 2018, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's office.

Kane County Circuit Judge Donald Tegeler, Jr. set Mullis’ next court appearance for March 12 for motions and sentencing, as Mullis faces a sentence of between 2 and 5 years in prison at the Illinois Department of Corrections, or probation, the news release said.
