These St. Charles Streets Will See Upgrades In 2024

Upgrades will include rehabilitation to curb & gutter; pavement patching; sidewalk and driveway apron repairs; and sanitary, storm and water

ST. CHARLES, IL — The St. Charles City Council approved allocating $1.82 million in funds for the 2024 street rehabilitation program.

The funds will be paid for in part with motor fuel tax funds as well as from Rebuild Illinois Bond funds, according to city documents. The resolution with the Illinois Department of Transportation was approved during an April 15 city council meeting.

According to IDOT, upgrades will include rehabilitation to curb & gutter; pavement patching; sidewalk and driveway apron repairs; and sanitary, storm and water utility repair.

The following streets will undergo improvements in 2024:

  • Abbeywood Drive from Route 31 to Greenwood Lane
  • Brittany Court from Abbeywood Drive to the cul-de-sac
  • Easton Place from Abbeywood Drive to the cul-de-sac
  • Pendleton Court from Abbeywood Drive to the cul-de-sac
  • Meadow Drive from Crane Road to city limits
  • Green Willow Lane from Meadow Drive to the cul-de-sac
  • Thornhill Farm Road from Route 31 to Meadow Drive
  • Kensington Place from Meadow Drive to the cul-de-sac
  • Edgewild Court from Meadow Drive to the cul-de-sac
  • Crane Road from Route 31 to Meadow Drive
  • Fox Glen Drive from Glenbriar Drive to Army Trail Road
  • Flen Glen Court from Fox Glen Drive to the cul-de-sac
  • Glenbriar Drive from Fox Glen Drive to the cul-de-sac
