Trump Supporters Rally By The Thousands At Kane Co. Fairgrounds

ST. CHARLES, IL — Thousands of people from Kane County and the surrounding region attended a rally Sunday in St. Charles to show their support for President Donald Trump and his re-election bid, according to a report by the Kane County Chronicle.

The rally started with a car parade at Kautz Road and Stern Avenue before making its way to the Kane County Fairgrounds, the report states. A counterprotest formed outside the rally along Randall Road to support Vice President Joe Biden, according to the report.

Trump and Biden are set to face off Tuesday in Cleveland for their first debate of the 2020 presidential campaign.

The pro-Trump rally was scheduled to run from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. with food, music and other entertainment, according to a promotional flyer.

Photos from the rally show very few people wearing masks and many not keeping their distance from other people and groups. A spokesperson for the Kane County Health Department did not immediately respond Monday to Patch’s request for comment about the large event.
