Unauthorized Visitor Stopped By Staff At St. Charles East HS
St. Charles East HS Principal Jim Richter emailed parents about the Feb. 3 incident, and said the young man wasn't a district student.
ST. CHARLES, IL — School officials at St. Charles East High School stopped a young man who isn't a District 303 student after he was able to get inside the building Monday, according to an email Principal Jim Richter sent to Parents, Kane County Chronicle reported. According to the email, the young man is a student at a nearby district, and entered through the front door of St. Charles East at 11:20 a.m. when another visitor opened the door, the news report said. Students were in class at the time, and school administrators were able to stop him after a radio call went out, Richter added in the email, according to Kane County Chronicle.
According to the email, the young man told the staff that he wanted to talk to a friend at the high school.
