Kathleen Vulpitta, formerly of River Grove, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — A 61-year-old woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for hitting and killing her boyfriend with his car in the parking lot of the former Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles in 2018, prosecutors said.
Kathleen Vulpitta, formerly of River Grove, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder on Thursday, according to a news release from the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. The conviction stems from the September 2018 death of her boyfriend, Earl Hagen, Jr., of Plainfield.
On Sept. 6, 2018, the St. Charles Police Department was called to the former Pheasant Run Resort on North Avenue where they found Hagen unresponsive in the west portion of the parking lot.
