Teenage Girl Approached By Suspicious Man in La Grange: Police

She was approached near Elm Avenue and Catherine Avenue.

La Grange police are investigating a suspicious person who approached a 16-year-old girl Sept. 16.

The girl was riding her skateboard in the street around 9:15 p.m. near Elm Avenue and Catherine Avenue when a man pulled up next to her and asked if she wanted to get in his car, according to La Grange police.

The girl didn’t answer the man, and she made a call on her cell phone. She went home and told her dad what happened. Her dad contacted La Grange police.

Officers searched the area, but couldn’t find the man or his car.

The suspicious person is described as a white man, about 40 years old, balding with short brown hair on the sides of his head and speaking without an accent, according to police. The car is described as a small blue sedan, possibly with Illinois registration containing “E102.”
