WHEATON, IL — One person was killed in a crash that took place on County Farm Road in Wheaton Wednesday afternoon, according to police. Lieutenant Patti Potter told Patch the two-car crash took place around 1:17 p.m. Potter said one person was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital in the wake of the crash, and that two other people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital and later released. The crash closed County Farm Road between Manchester and Jewell Roads for about four hours, Potter said. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. As of Thursday afternoon, the decedent's name has not been released to the public.
