100 Dog Winter Coats Stolen, Wallets Swiped At Stores: Wheaton Blotter

WHEATON, IL — More than 100 dog winter coats were stolen, wallets were swiped from shoppers and other crimes were reported on the most recent blotter from the Wheaton Police Department.
Wallet Stolen from Shopper at TJ Maxx
A shopper was approached by a woman at TJ Maxx, 62 Danada Square West on Sept. 1 around 6:30 p.m. After a brief interaction, the shopper noticed that her purse had been opened and her wallet had been stolen. Police say the shopper was later notified that fraud had been committed on her cards.

Wallet Stolen from Cart at Home Goods
Police say someone stole a wallet from a purse that was in a shopper's cart at Home Goods, 38 Danada Square West on Sept. 2. The theft took place between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and the shopper later got a notification that their credit and debit cards had been used fraudulently.

Dog Coats Stolen from Animal Rescue Foundation
More than 100 winter coats for dogs were recently stolen from Animal Rescue Foundation, 531 Roosevelt Rd. The theft took place sometime between 3 p.m. on Sept. 5 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 6.
2 Retail Thefts Reported at Kohl's
Police responded to a pair of retail thefts at the Kohl's store located at 401 S. County Farm Rd. The first incident took place on Aug. 26 between 10:10 a.m. and 10:25 a.m. Employees told police two women came into the store and hid cosmetics on their persons before leaving without paying.
On Sept. 6, police say two men came into the store around 5 p.m. and put items in two carts. They then left the store without paying for the merchandise.
