WHEATON, IL — Bridge repairs are set to impact traffic on part of Roosevelt Road starting April 8.

The work will focus on the bridge that spans Winfield Creek near County Farm Road. From Fapp Circle to Hazelton Drive, traffic will be reduced to one lane in either direction to permit Illinois Department of Transportation crews to perform the needed repairs.

Workers will replace expansion joints, repair bridge approaches and install a fresh deck overlay. Drivers are advised to expect delays, be mindful of traffic flaggers and take alternate routes when possible. It's expected the work will wrap up in October.
