Duo Dog Crew Joins DuPage County State's Attorney's Office
Crew will help the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office by comforting children who have been the victims of or who have witnessed crimes.

DUPAGE COUNTY — The newest staff member for the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office was sworn in Monday. Crew, a Labrador retriever, joins the office via Duo Dogs, Inc., a St. Louis-based organization that trains dogs to offer emotional support to children.
Crew, just 20 months old, took his oath of office with DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin and other employees standing by. He will be tasked with providing comfort to children who are victims of crimes or who have witnessed a crime.

Berlin said in a statement, "We are all very excited and grateful to welcome Crew to our team. While I’m sure Crew will be eager to assist wherever necessary, his main objective will be to provide comfort, compassion and companionship to children as they turn to the Children’s Advocacy Center for protection and justice. Additionally, Crew’s daily presence in our office will undoubtedly improve morale and support our staff in coping with the daily stresses and pressures associated with promoting public safety and achieving our mission of seeking justice for the people of DuPage County."
