Ebbesen, Rutledge, Blatner, Hanlon Poised To Win District 200 Seats

With 100 percent of precincts reporting in DuPage County, Katy Ebbesen and three incumbent board members were set to snag four board seats.

WHEATON, IL — Katy Ebbesen, Angela Blatner, John K. Rutledge and Rob Hanlon were poised to win the four available seats on the Community Unit School District 200 Board of Education, according to unofficial election results from the DuPage County Clerk's Office Tuesday.

Heading into the election, Hanlon, the current school board president, Blatner and Rutledge were incumbent board members.

Angela Blatner will begin her second term on the board of education, according to her profile on the District 200 website. Blatner, a pediatric physical therapist, has three children who graduated from District 200 schools.

Her campaign site listed her priorities as improving school safety, fostering academic excellence and meeting each student's individual learning needs.

A transactional attorney who lives in Warrenville, Ebbesen wrote that she wanted to give Warrenville representation on the District 200 board, per her campaign site.

Her priorities include focusing on social-emotional learning, improving transparency between district officials and community members, enchancing school safety and more.

John K. Rutledge

John K. Rutledge has been a member of the District 200 board of education since 2023.

Per his campaign site, Rutledge aims to "improve intergovernmental communication" and expand district curriculum to fit the needs of students, among other priorities.

Rob Hanlon

Rob Hanlon first joined the District 200 board of education in 2017 and was elected president in 2023. He has also served as board secretary and vice president.

Hanlon's campaign site lists his priorities as improving budget strategies, fostering community engagement and investing in facility improvements.
