Man Accused Of Bringing Loaded Gun To Carol Stream PD: Prosecutors
Anthony Huggins, 33, is accused of having a stolen, loaded gun in his slipper when he was arrested.

CAROL STREAM, IL — Police say they found a gun in a Michigan man's slipper when he was arrested in connection with an attempted catalytic converter theft on Dec. 9.
Anthony Huggins, 33, was charged with receiving, possessing or selling a motor vehicle or essential part, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon — no FOID card and possession of burglary tools. Clinton Bigelow, 33, also of Michigan, was charged with receiving, possessing or selling a motor vehicle or essential part and possession of burglary tools in connection with the same incident.
Police were called to Carol Stream Animal Hospital, 140 Elk Tr., after someone reported seeing a person crawl under a car. Huggins and Bigelow are accused of pulling into the lot in a Dodge Caravan before Huggins got out of the van and crawled under another car with a cordless saw, a news release said.

A woman got out of the car, at which time police say Huggins got back into the van and drove off with Bigelow in the van. The car was stopped shortly after by police, and officers reported finding seven catalytic converters in the back seat of the car.
Police say they found a Glock 43 in Huggins' slipper when he was taken to the Carol Stream Police Department.

Huggins and Bigelow are scheduled to appear in court Dec. 23.
