Prescriptions Swiped From Desk, Credit Card Fraud Reported: Wheaton Crimes

WHEATON, IL — Prescriptions were stolen from an office desk, a credit card was used for fraud and other crimes were reported on the most recent blotter from the Wheaton Police Department.
Fraudulent Wire Transfers
Fraudulent wire transfers were made from a resident's business account sometime between Dec. 9 and Dec. 11. According to police, the scammer said they were a representative from the fraud department at BMO Bank.

Retail Theft at Ulta
Police were called to the Ulta store at 112 Danada Square West around 4 p.m. on Dec. 14. Employees told officers a man and woman came into the store, filled up a bag with items and exited without paying.

Fraudulent Prescription Attempt
A woman came into the Walgreens at 2020 S. Naperville Rd. on Dec. 16 at 8 p.m. and tried to fill a fraudulent prescription, police say.
Credit Card Fraud
A resident in the 600 block of Sunnyside Avenue told police someone used their Visa card to make fraudulent purchases at several Target stores in the Chicagoland area. The incident was reported on Dec. 18.
Prescription Medications Stolen
Prescription medications were stolen from an office desk at Wheaton College, according to the crime blotter. The incident took place on Dec. 18 between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
