Sheriff's Office Increases Patrols Ahead Of Memorial Day In DuPage Co.

Drivers will see more officers patrolling the roadways as the DuPage County Sheriff's Office takes part in a statewide safety campaign.

DUPAGE COUNTY — DuPage County Sheriff's Office Deputies will be out in full force for the Memorial Day holiday as part of a statewide safety campaign focused on seatbelt compliance.

“Whether you’re driving around the corner or across the nation, remember to buckle upevery time,” DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick shared in a statement.

He added, “The ‘Click It or Ticket’ effort is about preserving lives. We want seatbelt use to be second nature for all drivers and passengers.”

The safety initiative kicked off May 16 and will be in effect through Memorial Day.
