WHEATON, IL — The Wheaton Municipal Band will begin its 2024 season June 6, bringing live shows weekly on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. Most of the concerts will be held at Memorial Park, but the July 27 show will be at Edman Chapel.

This year is the 95th season for the Wheaton Municipal Band, which was founded in 1930. To honor this anniversary, the June 6 concert's theme is "Generation Celebration" and will feature performances by local eighth grade musicians. The show pays tribute to Carol Kierzyk, who has played with the band for four decades, Mike Thorsen, who is celebrating 50 years with the band and Al Loek, who boasts 60 years.

The free concerts run through Aug. 1. Click the link to see the themes for the upcoming Wheaton Municipal Band concerts.
