Police say there is no imminent danger to the public and this is an isolated incident.

YORKVILLE, IL — Commercial grade explosives were found during a search of a Yorkville home Thursday night after several law enforcement agencies responded to a scene in the 500 block of West Barberry Circle, WSPY News reports. Police officials expect to file charges and the investigation remains active.

The Kane County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad, with assistance from the Oswego Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), responded to the scene around 10 p.m. to investigate the possible manufacture of explosives.

Police told Patch that they are still investigating how the explosives were obtained. Police learned of the explosives through a tip earlier Thursday.
