YORKVILLE, IL — The Kendall County Coroner's Office revealed Monday evening that the body found during the search for a missing 16-year-old girl was located in a field off Route 71 and Country Hills Drive in Yorkville.
The body was presumptively identified as Aiyana N. Williams, who went missing June 16 from the Country Hills subdivision, Patch reported on Sunday.
The coroner's office conducted a forensic autopsy Monday. A definitive identification is still pending DNA analysis, and the cause and manner of death will be determined based on further scientific study, the Kendall County Coroner's Office said in an update.

The Yorkville Police Department, along with the coroner's office, continues investigating the case.
Before the body was found during a foot patrol and drone search early Sunday morning, police conducted a nearly weeklong search, coordinating with mounted search and rescue teams, members of the Illinois Search and Rescue Council, and several police agencies who provided K-9 tracking and the use of drones to scan the area, including bodies of water, officials said.
