Suspected Car Thief Still At Large: Yorkville Police
A heavy police presence was reported in the Country Hills, Raintree and Windett Ridge subdivisions, as well as at nearby schools.
YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville police are searching for a suspected car thief after a blue Toyota Camry was stolen just after 8:30 a.m. Thursday from the 500 block of Center Parkway.
Police said they were able to locate the stolen vehicle near Wren Road and Montrose Court, but the car was unoccupied and the suspect had fled.
There was a heavy police response in the Country Hills, Raintree and Windett Ridge subdivisions, as well as a precautionary response at nearby schools, according to Yorkville police.

As of 11 a.m., police said the offender was still at large. The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 30 and 40, possibly wearing dark jeans, a gray long-sleeved shirt, work boots and a white baseball cap.
Police said the suspect fled in the direction of Country Hills subdivision.
