Gun Goes Off, Hits Neighbor's Home: Yorkville Police
Police said a homeowner was placing his gun on a nightstand when he accidentally discharged it.
YORKVILLE, IL β A Yorkville homeowner accidentally discharged his gun Sunday night, sending a bullet through his neighbor's garage, police said. It happened around 7:30 p.m. when a homeowner in the 200 block of Barrett Drive was setting the gun on his nightstand.
Police said the homeowner accidentally discharged the gun, and the bullet went out a second-story window, traveled downward, went through the neighbor's garage door and lodged in the garage wall.
The bullet was recovered from the wall, and no one was hurt, police said.
