Missing Girl, 16, Was Last Seen Monday: Yorkville Police
A 16-year-old girl has been missing from Yorkville's Country Hills subdivision since Monday night, police said.

YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville police are turning to the community to help find a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since Monday night, according to the department's Facebook posts.
Aiyana Nicole Williams went missing from the Country Hills subdivision, off Route 71, police said. As officers continue to work to locate her, officials request that residents, specifically in the area of Fawn Ridge Court, check their properties, including under porches, in sheds and any other areas where a teenager might be able to hide.
"Aiyana is not considered a danger to the public, but has previously been known to hide in secluded or covered outdoor spaces," officials wrote on Facebook Tuesday evening.

Police increased their presence Wednesday morning around Fawn Ridge Court within the subdivision as the search continued.
"At this time, there is no threat to the public, but we are asking residents to remain alert," a Wednesday post read.

Williams is described as 5-foot, weighing about 100 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes and a slim build. Police said she was last seen wearing a black shirt, an unknown color of shorts and no shoes.
Locals should also check their surveillance footage for any sightings of Williams. Anyone with information about the girl's whereabouts is asked to call Yorkville police at 630-553-4343.
