YORKVILLE, IL — A 32-year-old Sheridan woman was killed in a head-on collision Saturday night, according to a Yorkville police report. A Yorkville man was also hospitalized. Tina M. Turner, of the 2600 block of N. County Road 3853, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police were called to a location off of Route 47, just north of Galena Road, at around 8:41 p.m. The accident report said that Bradley A. Anderson, 29, of Cotswold Drive in Yorkville, was driving a Cadillac DeVille southbound on Route 47.
The report alleges that he drove his car across the center lane on Route 47 and collided with Turner's Ford Fusion, which was heading north. Anderson was issued a citation for improper lane usage and the investigation is continuing, pending the results of blood work. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for injuries that night. Both were wearing seat belts.
